The Zone Extra started out as a sister to The Zone Radio Station website with the plan to feature interviews that had once been on The Zone website and other very linked features.
In late October 2007 it was decided to make the named The Zone Radio Extra website into a main website in it's own right.
Then on the 1st of January 2008 the re-named Zone Extra started with a team behind it to bring people a greater choice of features.
On July 27th 2008 after three years of broadcasting it was decided to close The Zone Radio Station which inclueded it's website.
So what did this mean for Extra?
Extra would go on flying the flag under the re-branded name The Zone with a more focus on the magazine.
More features and more would be added over the months.
